Of course!

You know your adversary the devil is going to oppose you.  Don't wait until he shows up to contemplate the battle.  Plan for his attack.  What's his "in"?  How is he going to strike?  Have a plan so that when trouble begins, your response is automatic.  If you were fighting a war, you wouldn't say, "I'll wait until my forces are engaging the enemy, and then come up with a strategy."  Anticipate.  Practice.  Expect your opponent to probe you for weakness and strike where you are vulnerable.  Decide how you will react before it happens.  Periodically review your strategies.

It sounds obvious, but even among the "religious", how many people do this?
